Overview
Barrettine Raw Linseed Oil is a traditional, all natural oil derived from the extract of flax seed. It penetrates unsealed wood, leaving a lovely natural water resistant finish that darkens slightly as it ages. For use on oak beams, bean canes, cricket bats and many other woodcrafts. It can also be used as a lubricant for french polishing or to soften putty.

Preparation
Make sure that the surface to be oiled is clean & dry and free from grease. Can only be applied to bare wood or previously oiled wood, not to painted or varnished surfaces.
Application
Test a small area first in an inconspicuous place to make sure you're happy with the finished results. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Apply the oil generously with a or brush.
- Allow it to absorb for 20 minutes, then remove excess oil and allow 24 hours between each coat.
- Apply a minimum of 3 coats or more until you achieve the desired finish.
- As this is a natural product, it is slow drying. Allow 6-7 days to cure under normal drying conditions after the last coat.
- Raw Linseed Oil can be diluted for the first application 1:1 with white spirit to improve absorption. Regular re-oiling will be necessary for some applications.
Aftercare & Storage
Replace cap firmly. Store away from heat and flames. Keep container upright and secure at all times.
